Field notes

Short written pieces about a place, a record, or a dataset: what the evidence shows, where it came from, how we looked, and what it cannot tell you. Corrections are added in the open, never made silently.

  1. Note

Where the register puts the drive-in

The National Register's mapped boundary for the Beverly Drive-In lies about 280 meters north of the theater's footprint in aerial imagery. Surveys from 2012 and 2023 record the site's demolition and redevelopment, and a listing that has not been updated.

New notes appear in the Atom feed (for feed readers; it shows as plain XML in a browser). Every note lists its sources, its method, and its limits.
