- Summary
- A companion to the lake area series. For each lake and month it reports the area of exposed lakebed and splits it into surface types such as wet salt, dry salt, bare playa, and shallow water.
- Why it matters
- Exposed lakebed affects dust, wildlife habitat, and water planning. Researchers and managers often have to estimate it by hand.
- Format
- One row per lake per month in CSV and Parquet, with a data dictionary.
- Download
- Will be on Zenodo with a DOI and mirrored on Hugging Face when version 1.0 is published. Access requires a short sign-in form.
